Job Summary

We are looking for an individual to join our team of dedicated and hard working Practitioners, who is passionate about children leading their own learning, loves the outdoors and nature and who has a calm, caring nature. Ideally qualified but welcome applicants who are unqualified or undergoing qualification training, as dedication, enthusiasm and desire to nurture and enhance children's fascinations is considered essential and strongly desired in our setting.

The applicant must be able to work independently, work as part of a team, and be prepared to take the child's lead in their learning, wherever it may take them.

This is a very rewarding and fulfilling role for the right person, with hands on training/support being offered, to enable the successful practitioner to be able to look deeper into children's fascinations, characteristics of learning, schema and to seek what the child is thinking/testing/exploring.

The successful applicant will be expected to attend trainings that are required to be able to support children's learning and their care needs i.e first aid, safeguarding, EYFS training.

An Enhanced DBS certificate is essential for employment in the setting. Jumping Jellybeans can assist with the process of application, but the applicant will be expected to pay their own DBS fees.

Responsibilities and Duties

nurture and care for children aged between 2 and 4 years.

Assist Key Persons in enhancing children's learning, by making observations and supporting thier learning next steps (training can be provided).

Help with tidying away/cleaning resources, preparing lunch tables

Ensure children's well-being and safety at all times.

Be a positive role model for the children.

Qualifications and Skills

Enhanced DBS Certificate

Previous experience working with children.

Calm, caring nature.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to use own iniative and work independently.

Will consider unqualfied applicants.
