Washington Jobcentre Plus
Washington does not have a railway station. So, if you're relying on public transport to get to the local job centre in the town, you will need to travel by bus.
Plenty of buses run into the centre of Washington, providing regular connections with Durham, Newcastle, Sunderland and many other towns and communities across the region. Popular services include the 50 from Durham, Chester-le-Street and South Shields, and the X1 from Newcastle and Houghton-le-Spring.
If you are arriving by bus, you need to get off at the main bus station at The Galleries shopping centre. From here, exit the bus station and, with the shopping centre behind you, turn left at the small roundabout. Go straight ahead for a few moments and you will soon see Pennine House set back slightly on the right-hand-side of the street.
Travelling by Car
If you're coming by car, then you need to follow the main A182 to Washington. When you reach the town centre, this will become Washington Highway. From here, turn off when you get to the Princess Anne Park and follow the signs into the town centre. Just a few moments after leaving the main A182 you will see Pennine House on your left.
Lots of short-stay parking can be found at The Galleries shopping centre, just a short walk away.
