Stowmarket Jobcentre Plus

By Train

Stowmarket railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line, meaning the town enjoys excellent connections with Ipswich and London, as well as with surrounding towns and villages such as Diss, Elmswell and Needham.

From the station, you need to exit and follow the approach road to the left onto Station Road. Carry straight down here, crossing over the river. After a few moments, you need to turn into the grounds of the St Peter and St Mary Church. This will bring you onto Church Walk and then onto Ipswich Street. Bear right here and, after just a minute, you will see the local job centre on the left-hand-side of the street.

By Bus

Regular buses connect Stowmarket with the surrounding towns and villages. Services include the 3 from Southolt and Worlingworth, the 6 from Bury St Edmunds, the 88 from Ipswich and Needham, the 456 from Diss and the A14 from Ipswich and Cambridge.

If you travel into town by bus, you should get off on Ipswich Street in the town centre. From here you will be able to see a church, so head towards this and you will then see the job centre on the opposite side of the street.

Travelling by Car

By car, the easiest way of getting to the job centre is to follow the B1115 into the centre of Stowmarket. This will bring you to the St Peter and St Mary Church, next to which you will be able to turn onto Gipping Way. The one-way system will let you follow Milton Road South, which will then lead you right onto Ipswich Street, where you will see the Jobcentre Plus in Stowmarket straight away.
