Southampton Jobcentre Plus

By Train

If you're arriving into Southampton by train, then it's around a 20-minute walk from Southampton Central railway station to the local Jobcentre Plus.

To get there, exit the station and follow the approach road down to Western Esplanade. Turn left here and follow this straight on until you reach a busy junction. Go right here down Portland Terrace and carry straight on for around 5 minutes. You will then see Bernard Street to your left, so turn down here and, after a few moments, you will see St Cross House right in front of you.

By Bus

Lots of buses run into Southampton city centre, providing excellent connections with surrounding towns and communities, as well as with the city suburbs.

If you are travelling by bus, you should get off on Town Quay, in the centre of time. From here, with the sea behind you, walk up High Street for a few minutes until you see Bernard Street on your right. Turn down here and you will then see St Cross House almost straight away.

Travelling by Car

St Cross House is situated right by the A33, making it very easy to reach if you're travelling by car.

The easiest way is to follow the A33 into the city centre and carry on down to the quayside. When you reach the quay, you will be able to turn onto High Street and follow this up to Bernard Street. Here you will find the local Jobcentre Plus as well as limited on-street parking.
