Parkhead Jobcentre Plus

By Train

Parkhead does not have its own railway station. However, if you are travelling in from Glasgow city centre or the surrounding suburbs by train, it's just a 20-minute walk from Carntyne Station.

From here, exit the station and follow Fenan Street down to the main road. Turn right here and carry straight along Shettleston Road for 10 minutes. When you see Hart Street to your left, turn down here and then take the first right down East Wellington Street. This will bring you to Duke Street and you will see the local job centre almost right in front of you.

By Bus

Lots of buses run into Parkhead, providing regular and reliable connections with Glasgow city centre and the surrounding suburbs.

All buses stop at either on Duke Street itself or on Tollcross Road just to the south. So, get off here, right by the Parkhead hospital and you will be able to see Duke Street and the local Jobcentre Plus for this part of Glasgow right in front of you.

Travelling by Car

Duke Street is directly off the main A89, which runs through the centre of Parkhead and connects with Glasgow city centre to the west and Bailleston and the M74 to the east.

So, by car, you need to get onto the A89 and follow this into Parkhead. When you see the hospital, look out for the turning onto Duke Street and then head down here.

You should be able to find plenty of short-stay parking spots just a short distance from Duke Street, though you will have to pay to leave your park here.
