Travelling to Kentish Town Job Centre

By Tube

Kentish Town JobCentre Plus is just a few minutes walk from Kentish Town Underground train station, which is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line. To the south, Kings Cross St Pancras is just five minutes away. To the north, Archway is three minutes, Highgate five minutes and Finchely Central ten minutes.

As you exit the station, turn left out of the exit and walk down Kentish Town Road for five minutes. Stay on the left-hand-side of the road, passing the library, until you reach Patshull Road. Here, opposite a pub on the opposite corner, you will see the JobCentre Plus.

By Bus

The Kentish Town Jobcentre Plus is located on the main Kentish Town high street and so is well-connected by several bus services.

From central London, take the 134 from Tottenham Court Road station and alight at Kentish Town Library. Alternatively, take the 214 from Kings Cross station or the C2 from London Victoria or Oxford Circus. Note that the bus will stop on the opposite side of the road to the JobCentre Plus, so you will need to use the pedestrian crossing outside of the library and then turn right back down Kentish Town Road for a short distance.

From the north, take the 134 from Muswell Hill or Archway or the 214 from Highgate and alight at Prince of Wales Road. Then turn back on yourself, walk along Kentish Town Road for two minutes and you will see the Jobcentre Plus on your right.

By Overground Train

Kentish Town West train station is also just a short walk from the Jobcentre Plus. Trains from Stratford, Highbury and Islington and Hackney arrive here from the east and, from the west, you can travel directly to Kentish Town West from Gospel Oak, West Hampstead and Richmond.

Upon leaving the station, turn left and walk to the end of Prince of Wales Road. Turn left onto Kentish Town Road and walk to the next crossing. Cross the main street and you will see the JobCentre Plus directly to your left.

By Bike

There is no dedicated cycle lane on Kentish Town Road and traffic can be heavy throughout most of the day, so take care if you plan to travel to the JobCentre Plus by bike. Once there, you are able to lock your bike up on the special bike stands on the corner of Patshull Road and Kentish Town Road.

Tips and Suggestions

  • At peak hours, buses from central London can take almost an hour to reach Kentish Town Road, so take that into consideration if you have an appointment.
  • There are several internet cafes located along Kentish Town Road if you need to print off a CV or go online
  • Alternatively, Kentish Town Library will let you use the internet, even if you are not a library member
