Hythe Jobcentre Plus

By Ferry

Hythe does not have a railway station, though it is connected to Southampton by regular ferry services. So, if you're coming from the city by ferry, the local job centre is just a short walk from the ferry terminal.

To get there, exit the terminal onto Prospect Place and turn left. Follow this round and you will soon see Plywell Road going off to the right. Go down here and, after just a few moments, you will see the Jobcentre Plus in Hythe on your right.

By Bus

Regular buses connect Hythe with surrounding towns and villages, as well as with the nearby city of Southampton. These include the 8 from Southampton city centre via Holbury and Blackfield; the 11 from Totton; the 10 from Saltwood and Folkstone, and the 112 from Lymington and Lower Buckland.

All buses into Hythe stop at the ferry terminal, so you need to get off here and then simply follow the above directions to the job centre. The walk from the bus stop will take less than 5 minutes.

Travelling by Car

By car, you should follow the A326 towards Hythe and then follow the signs to the centre of the village. This will bring you to the small port, where you will be able to see Plywell Road, just off Prospect Place.

There is some short-stay parking available by the dockside, as well as a few on-street parking spots on Plywell Road itself.
