Herne Bay Jobcentre Plus

By Train

Herne Bay railway station offers quick and easy connections from a number of small towns and villages across east Kent, as well as to Ramsgate and central London.

From the station, the local job centre is around a 15-minute walk away. To get there, exit the station and turn right down Station Road. After a few minutes, you will reach Memorial Park. Turn right here and follow the path through the centre of the park, exiting onto Station Chine. Carry straight on until you reach a junction with Underwood Road to the left.

Go down Underwood Road, carry straight on and then go right down Bank Street. When you reach the main road, cross over and keep following Bank Street for a few more moments. You will then see the Jobcentre Plus in Herne Bay to the left.

By Bus

Regular bus services connect Herne Bay with most local destinations, including Canterbury, Hillborough, Hoath, Broad Oak and Ramsgate.

All buses stop on High Street, in the very centre of the town, and this is where you should get off. From here, with the Mortimer Street Church to your left, walk down High Street until you see Bank Street to your left. Turn down here and you will have then reached your destination.

Travelling by Car

Bank Street is situated just off the main B2205, which runs through the centre of Herne Bay and connects to the A299 from Canterbury and the A253 towards Ramsgate and Margate. So, follow this road into the centre and, when it turns into High Street, look out for the turning onto Bank Street, and follow this in the direction of the sea.
