Edinburgh City Jobcentre Plus

Latest help if looking for work or if you need to claim benefits.

By Train

If you're travelling into the city centre by train, you should get off at Edinburgh Waverley station. From here, take the exit onto North Bridge and, with the castle behind you, walk straight ahead onto Princes Street. Cross over, bear left and then take the first right onto St Andrew Street. Follow this round for a few moments and you will then see the job centre in Edinburgh city right in front of you.

By Bus

Alternatively, if you're travelling by bus, alight at the main bus station on Elder Street. Exit and turn right down Elder Street and then follow this straight down onto Princes Street. At the main road, turn right and then take the first right onto St Andrew Street.

Travelling by Car

St Andrew Street is just off Princes Street, which is the main A1 running through the middle of the New Town, and is located just opposite the junction where the A1 meets the A9 from the Old Town. So, if you're travelling by car, simply follow the A1 into the city centre and then, when you see the A9 across North Bridge, right by Waverley train station, turn off onto St Andrew Street.

There is plenty of short-stay parking in Edinburgh's New Town, most of it just a short walk away.
