Job Centre: Brecon
Travelling to Brecon Job Centre
Brecon does not have its own train station. The nearest stations are Llangammarch, Ebbw Vale Parkway and Merthyr Tydfil. However, all of these are around 15 miles away, so if you're relying on public transport to get to the job centre in Brecon, you will need to take the bus.
A number of buses connect Brecon with surrounding towns and villages, many of which are served by the local job centre here. There are daily connections to Pontypridd, Aberdare, Trecori, Bridgend, Nelson, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath, Ystradgynlais and Llandovery, among other places, though note that some buses may only run once or twice a day, so be sure to plan your trip to the local job centre in advance.
The bus will drop you at Brecon Interchange, from where the job centre is an easy 10-minute walk. Simply walk straight up Heol Gouesnou, where the bus will drop you, passing more bus stops on the left. At the end of the road, go left down Free Street and then right down Watton. After a minute or two, turn right down Rich Way and then at the roundabout bear left onto Canal Road. Just after you pass the local theatre, you should now be Canal Road and will see the Jobcentre office.
Travelling by Car
The job centre in Brecon is just a short distance from the B4602, which links the town centre with the A40 and the A470. Follow this B-road into the town centre and, when you see the Borderers and the Lansdowne hotels, bear down Rich Way and onto Canal Road, where the job centre can be found.
Parking is available at the Brecon Tourist Information Office, with the car park just a short walk from the job centre.
