Getting to Blackburn Job Centre
The Jobcentre Plus building in Blackburn is just a short walk from the main station, making it quick and easy to get to if you're travelling into town by train.
From the station, simply leave by the main exit and then follow Railway Road down to the right until you come to Salford Road. Follow this briefly before taking a left up Penny Street. Here, after just a couple of minutes, you will see your local job centre on the left-hand-side of the street, just before a row of bus stops.
The Blackburn Jobcentre is well-served by public buses, with several services topping right outside on Penny Street. For example, the 1, 1A, 1B, 17, 59 and X41 all stop almost directly outside the building, providing easy connections with a number of suburbs as well as with nearby Burnley town centre.
Travelling by Car
Penny Street, where the job centre in Blackburn is situated, is just off the A6078, at the junction where this road meets the A666 coming from the north. The A666 also runs south down to Bolton, while the A677 into Preston also comes into the town centre, with Penny Street right by St Albans Catholic Church, which is well signposted.
