Getting to Berwick Jobcentre

By Train

The job centre in Berwick is just a short stroll from the town's train station. To get there, exit the station, follow the approach road down to the end, turn right and then take the next left down Railway Street.

You will then come onto Castlegate where you need to turn right and walk straight ahead for around 5 minutes until you reach a small roundabout. Take a left here down Walkergate and you will see the local job centre on the left, just past the Berwick library.

By Bus

As well as being just a short distance from the train station, the job centre in Berwick is also easy to reach if you're travelling by bus. Buses stopping on Castlegate – just a minute's walk from the job centre – include the B6 to Spittal, the 18 to Tweedmouth, the B2 to Braeside and the X18 to Newcastle city centre.

Alight on Castlegate and look for the small roundabout or just follow the signs for the public library, from where you will be able to see your local Jobcentre building.

Travelling by Car

The job centre in Berwick is situated on Walkergate, which branches off the A1167 in the centre of the town. Using the A1167, you can connect to the main A1 road, which passes around Berwick and connects the town with Belford, Eyemouth, Ayton and Dunbar.

Short-stay parking is available in Berwick town centre, mainly off Castlegate, though you will struggle to find a space on Walkergate itself.
