Getting to Basingstoke Jobcentre

By Train

If you're heading into Basingstoke by train in order to look for a job, then you only need to walk 15 minutes from the station to the job centre.

To get there, exit the station and bear right down the approach road. Take the next right and then head left through Festival Place. Carry on straight, crossing under the busy road and sticking to the main path into the town centre. After around 500m you will come to a junction with Winchester Street. Head right here and head straight down, crossing over the junction with Victoria Street and New Street and heading down Winchester Road. After just a minute you will see your local job centre to your left.

By Bus

Basingstoke bus station is right by the town's train station, so if you take a bus to there, simply follow the above directions to find your local job centre.

Alternatively, several buses stop on Winchester Road, almost right outside the town's Jobcentre Plus. If you're travelling in from Andover, Whitchurch, Andover or Overton, then the 76 bus stops on Winchester Road. Similarly, if you're heading to the job centre from Wonston, Sutton Scotney or Upper Bullingdon, then take the 86 bus and jump off at Winchester Road.

Travelling by Car

The Basingstoke job centre is easy to reach, being in the heart of the town centre and connected to several main roads. The main A3010 runs through the top of the town centre and it's just a minute's driver from here to Winchester Road. Similarly, both the A30 and A240 run into the town centre and provide quick and easy links to the job centre from the surrounding areas, as well as to the M3 motorway to the south.
