Barrow in Furness Jobcentre
Barrow-in-Furness railway station offers reliable connections to the Lake District and across Cumbria. If you're travelling into the town by train then the local job centre is just a 15-minute walk from the station, though taxis are available if you are in a hurry.
So, to get to the job centre, exit the station and follow the approach road down onto Abbey Road. Go right here and, after around 400m, turn right down Dalton Road. Carry on along this road for around 5 minutes until you come to a roundabout. Go round clockwise and take the fourth exit on your left, onto Michaelson Road, then, after about 250m you will see Barrow job centre.
Regular bus services connect Barrow town centre with most surrounding villages and communities, many of which are served by the local Jobcentre offices here.
If you're travelling by bus into the town centre, you should get off at the junction of Michaelson Road and Strand. From here, you just need to walk up Michaelson road for a few seconds before you see the job centre on your left.
Travelling by Car
The job centre in Barrow in Furness is just off the A5087. So, if you're travelling by car, follow this main road into the town centre and follow the signs for Devonshire Dock. This will take you onto Strand and then you just need to look out for the turning for Michaelson Road, which will take you straight to the job centre.
There is only limited on-street parking in Barrow town centre for non-residents, though there are several small short-stay car parks for which you will need to pay.
