Ayr Jobcentre Directions

By Train

If you're travelling into Ayr by train, then you'll be pleased to learn that the local Jobcentre building is just a quick and easy stroll from the town's main train station.

So, upon arrival at the station, exit onto Station Road and head left. After a couple of minutes, the road will take you over the River Ayr and you will then come to a roundabout. Taking care, you should take the exit directly to your left, which is John Street. Carry on up John Street and, after around 500 metres, you will see your local job centre on your left.

By Bus

The main Ayr bus station is situated on the other side of the river to the jobs centre. However, an easy 10 minute stroll is all that separates the two.

If you arrive into Ayr by bus, then, take the exit onto Sandgate and turn left. Carry on walking straight and, after a few minutes you'll cross the river on what has become New Bridge Street. Once you're over the river, take a right before you reach the library and walk down River Street, following this left as it forks and eventually reaching a main road. Turn right down this road and after 100m you will see the Jobcentre on your right.

Alternatively, jump on a bus that goes to John Street from the bus station and get off at the Albert Terrace stop.

Travelling by Car

The Ayr job centre is located on John Street, or the A79. This can be easily-reached from outside of the centre, either by the A77 running from north to south past the town or via the A70, which enters from the east.

On-street parking is permitted for short stays only in most parts of the town centre, though you should factor in some extra time for finding a spot if you have an appointment. Alternatively, there are a number of private and council-run car parks located within a few minutes' walk of the local Jobcentre building.
