Getting to Alfreton Job Centre

By Train

Alfreton train station is on the 'Robin Hood Line', with regular connections to Bulwell, Hucknall, Newstead, Shirebrook, Worksop and Nottingham, as well as to Leeds. From the train station, it's just a short walk to the job centre in Alfreton.

To get there, exit the station and walk along the approach road and then take a left onto Salcombe Road and almost immediately you will come to the junction with the main Mansfield Road. Take a right here and carry on for around 10 minutes until you come to the main High Street. Walk to the end of High Street, passing shops on both sides and then turn left down King Street. You will then see your local job centre almost immediately, right by the Wagon and Horses pub.

By Bus

The Alfreton job centre is well-served by local bus services. Services which stop on King Street, right by the job centre include the number 1, which connects Alfreton with Huthwaite, the 96 and 97 which run to Chesterfield and New Beetwell and the 150 which goes to Clay Cross.

Travelling by Car

The Jobcentre in Alfreton is located right on the main A38, making it easy to find if you're travelling by car. The main road connects the town with Mansfield to the east and Derby to the south, running through suburbs and villages such as Little Eaton, Bowley Wood and Sutton-in-Ashfield. Also, the A61 runs north straight into Chesterfield, passing through Clay Cross, Wingerworth, New Tupton and Shirland.
