Getting to Acton Job Centre

By Train

The Job Centre at Action can be reached by train, though you will have a 30 minute walk from the train station to get there.

The quickest way of getting between the two points is to turn left onto Friary Road upon exiting the station and continue along to the main road, Western Avenue. Stick to the right-hand-side of the road and after around 750m you will come to Glendium Road on your right.

Go down here, carry on across a small roundabout and onto Bromyard Avenue. At the next roundabout, go left down Ashfield Road, then right down Sir Alexander Road and right again down Armstrong Road. You will then see your local Jobcentre building at the end of the road, to your right.

By Tube

Rather than train, the Acton job centre is best reached by Tube if you're travelling from another part of West London. Get off at East Acton – a stop on the Central Line -  and turn left down Erconwald Street until you come to a main road.

Turn right here, walking past a church to your right, until you reach another main road, the Westway. Cross with care and take the smaller road directly ahead of you to the left, called Old Oak Road. Carry on down here for around 500m until you see Armstrong Road to your right. Take Armstrong Road, walk to the end and, on the right you will soon see the local Job Centre.

By Bus

The Action job centre can be reached by bus from most surrounding parts of west London. The 70 from Action High street, as well as the 260 from White City, the 272 from Chiswick and the 228 from Maida Hill all stop on Old Oak Road. Get off at stop OH or OA and then head south for a few metres until you see Armstrong Road, where the Job Centre is located.

Travelling by Car

The Jobcentre in Action is located just off the A40, or the Westway as it's also known. Head along this main road until you come to Old Oak Road and then turn down there are then onto Armstrong Road.

Additionally, if you're coming in from Uxbridge, the A4020 also intersects with Old Oak Road.
