Getting to Jobcentre at Accrington

By Train

The Accrington job centre is just a short walk from the train station, which offers connections to Greater Manchester and surrounding Lancashire towns and villages.

To get to your local job centre, then, leave the station by the main exit and walk to the end of the approach road. Here you need to turn right and walk down Blackburn Road for around 300m until you reach the junction with Church Street on the left. Walk down Church Street and then take the second road on the right, Oak Street. Proceed down Oak Street for a couple of minutes, crossing over a small crossroads and then you will see the job centre on your left.

By Bus

If you take the bus into the town centre, then you need to leave the bus station and walk down Infant Street before going left down Bank Street, Follow Bank Street for around two minutes before you see Oak Street on your right. Take Oak Street and you will see the job centre on your right after just a minute.

Alternatively, if your bus stops at Abbey Street in the town centre, get off here and then you will see Oak Street, where your local Job Centre is located.

Travelling by Car

The Jobcentre in Accrington is situated just off the A680 Manchester Road, so this should be your reference point if you're heading into the town from the south or east. From the north of west, meanwhile, the A679 is the main link into Accrington and, from here, the job centre is quick and easy to find.

Note, however, that there is a small one-way system in place around the job centre, so leave extra time to spare if you are unfamiliar with the streets in this part of town.
