Job Centre Abingdon Directions

By Train

Famously, Abingdon is the largest town in the south of England without its own train station. However, the stations of Culham and Radley are both just a couple of miles away, with these offering fast and easy links to Oxford and other local destinations.

If you're travelling by train from Oxford or elsewhere, the best way of getting to the job centre in Abingdon is to get off at Culham. From here, you can either walk into town along the main A415, or take a bus into the main town centre. Take the bus to the start of High Street and then walk up Stert Street for a couple of minutes before you see your local job centre.

By Bus

There are regular bus services into Abingdon from the surrounding towns and cities including the efficient X3 to and from Oxford most of which stop at the High Street, which is just off Stert Street, where the local job centre is located.

Additionally, the Abingdon Town Bus, which provides a regular service through the historic town centre, stops at the A9 bus stop on Stert Street, just a few yards from the Jobcentre.

Travelling by Car

Abingdon is situated on the A415, with excellent links via the A34 to the M4 and M40 motorways. Both Oxford and Didcot are just short drives away and, once you get into the town centre, the one-way system is easy to negotiate and Stert Street, where the local job centre is located, is easy to find.

While there is no on-street parking outside or around the job centre in Abingdon, the Charter Multi-Storey Car Park is located just off Stert Street and is well signposted, though you will need to pay to park here.
